The Golden Section of life
I think a lot lately after a scene that I have picked up in the movie "The Dreamers". (Seems almost as if I just quoted a movie in which even continuous films are cited, funny that! ;))
The main character, an American student, sits with his newfound friends at dinner in Paris. He is so absorbed in thought that it hosts some of the perplexed attention to his daydreams makes. Then he dedicates it to a wonderfully intriguing discovery: He puts his spoon in every way possible to the checkered tablecloth and everywhere a regularity. The length of its cutlery is exactly the distance of the pattern on the material, its width connecting the corners of the small squares, the most anterior part is as long as two of these squares together. He notes ecstatic, that this peculiar balance is also available everywhere else, the dishes compared with the facial proportions of his neighbors and always comes back to a formulation:
Everything fits.
I've often thought about earlier, are in the relationship between the objects, people and events on the planet together. In the Enlightenment, people began the universe as a balance of positive and negative forces to be defined. I'm personally more and more the realization that one can discover these same patterns in everyday life forever. It could be hundreds of pages on this subject fill, I try my somewhat daring theory only briefly explain: A year ago we discussed in biology, the phenomenon of osmosis and diffusion, the material balance in a disproportionate mix. One knows from daily life; poured fruit juice into clear water circulates it regularly for a while. Cherry burst after heavy rain because the liquid content of their environment and in the interior of the fruit sets. The fluid cell of the human body behaves very similarly.
A week ago I realized that this can also be observed in a larger framework. The weather, for example, is caused only by the continuous balancing of hot and cold air. That water is spread more evenly for We long for granted.
These are pretty trivial example, but you open your eyes the first time for these things, we encounter them everywhere! My conclusion from this is still too high, but maybe used: If you now these regularities seen underwater and can exclude many small examples of a larger, why would you do it the other way around is not exactly like that?
I had in mind a concrete idea: During the life of a people, there are various fixed landmarks: First, of course, once the different embryonic stages of development, the birth, the time of first words and steps, the recognition of danger but also of (parental) love, childhood diseases, puberty, adult life, slow aging and finally death. Could not close it perhaps from a life on the population of an entire group?
As a single person to groups of people learned of their Entstegung the slow handling of their abilities, they intractable the fire got to the upright path, created by their religions on human parental figures, made in the history of regression (think again of the Middle Ages !), which might correspond to the terrible twos and developed further by degrees always. Here one can find infinitely many parallels: Do not we say young children, that through its light-heartedness often closer to the truth than later? Were in ancient times, people are not far ahead of their successors? Besagr the evolution theory that started all life in the water? If the unborn is not embedded in water?
exciting than the past, these notes are of course the conclusions that one might do about the future! The spirit of optimism since the beginning of the 18th Century, one might compare to the discovery and freedom like a teenager. We are therefore according to my theory only in the youth of this huge life, we find, for example, more and more a turning away from religion instead of (plain, for many people it is still important but compared to earlier, well ...), which in turn similar to the shedding of the parents would be.
Could one therefore might actually do assumptions about the future?
I absolutely want to think through this issue in more detail, investigate, and formulate and then sit down with anyone related who knows something more about it than me! :) Even if they may simply discard can I find the fact that we live in such a sophisticated world at once breathtakingly beautiful and also a little frightening. I think I begin to begin to understand why the sign Ying-Yang in Asia is so important and what Dan Brown in the book "The Da Vinci Code meint, wenn er vom goldenen Schnitt und dem Ausgleich zwischen Weiblichkeit und Männlichkeit spricht...
Das Leben ist ein Kreis mit Ecken und Kanten!
