Thanks to the creative ideas of our savings to get school leadership at the time of often benefit from me not to torture by the debilitating apathy endless hours, but I intesiver touch with each project apart. This measure gave me a so-called "Reading Log", a mixed cross between an interpretation and summary.
The victim of my analysis was an Australian box office hit (which I was not exempted by the way), entitled 'Looking for Alibrandi', a youth novel of the Italian-born author Melina Marchetta. Although the book is definitely in the category 'fiction for young adults', but is found in places, surprising depth and a terrific quick-witted humor.
The story is quickly told. A girl my age has to deal with the problems of growing up, what do you by your Multiculturalism and the resulting feeling of rootlessness is more difficult. The story runs through their last year at a Catholic private school and is crossed by various experiences as first love, but also the tragic suicide of a close friend. Finally, she manages, however, to overcome the hurdles and made her self to come a little closer. To complete the work, I decided to write a poem that I think their feelings, and in many respects mine, too, reflects.
Letting go
I am at the end of my desperate quest
Slowly merged the two hearts in my chest
I’m still a seeker, I’ll always be
and ken one day: “Now, this is me”
Good people I met along my way
Some will pass and some may stay
I hear the dead whisper in my ear
They light my path when I’m in fear
I hope and wish at last I found
The strength to keep my feet on the ground
Now I know my roots, so I can try
to spread my wings and fly
