Are not women funny?
In yesterday's Daily News Magazine, my preferred reading seemed a wonderfully provocative article. I just want to hope hard that really is not the scribbler of this opinion. I tried to find the link, apparently are not current but article online. We have in school, however, is access to a database, this will change so soon.
shirred short, the journalist claims that women are not funny. Point. Much more is unfortunately not really behind it, the article suggests, however, to think. "
there anything better than a letter, I thought to myself, and cut straight to the keys:
, why women are not funny '
letter to the Magi Tagi-products by Reto Hunziker from issue no. 20
Oh woe, oh woe. As yet, an article starts promising with a lot of provocative title and then this: A two-page long, the author stumbles from one foot in the next. Rows of hypotheses are, coming along while moderately entertaining, but equally unfounded. want to be the claim that women do not seem funny / / to be can, like an irrefutable law of nature runs through the whole text. How cute naive. But maybe a little pathetic:
Obviously it is not with the female image of the author far away. He describes the female character as a hodgepodge pleasant but pale gray qualities. Women are essential to the love life, pretty ladies smiling model. You have an intuitive feel for portioning in discussions hard chunks into bite pieces. All well and good. The fact that the comedy landscape is dominated by men, should also underpin the entire thesis. Only one should perhaps add here that even in other professions that enjoy a certain scarcity value, are associated with a lower percentage of women. And just because sitting in most boardrooms men, hopefully no one would argue that women are just stupid, right? Well, Mr. Hunziker would perhaps justify this with the fact that, fighting spirit and courage typical male attributes' are that this is an open question. I must however agree with him
that humor and wit do not quite fit the image of pleasure object. Presumably this is because the humor and intelligence are dangerously close to each other. And as the saying goes? "A clever woman has millions of born enemies: All the stupid men." Who said that? Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach, the proud owner of two X-chromosomes.
'm curious whether the print that! ;)
