The Da Vinci Code - Do not worry, it will not reveal too much ... ;)
I know, I know. About Dan Brown and his books one can argue. Some are content to smile at his novels mild, others praise her in the sky and the third sign of the cross and call it the devil's work. When I read the 'Code' is the first time, I was absolutely thrilled (as in previous Entries readily apparent). Now this book is its suitability for mainstream Hollywood and the faithful contributions but also for me a bitter aftertaste held. Also, yes they always say that some of his are used assumptions about the Grail, the art or the Church either by air or well-known.
Well, whatever: Entertaining is all. And so it was for me finds me out as soon as possible to the film to heart. Thanks and I landed with a friend then, in fact, the top ranking in the Zurich Première.
I must say that I find no justification for ripping Reviews:
Sure, some scenes are full of artificial emotions, but who would have not expected such a huge production? It is also obvious that the material is not easy to handle. Half the book consists of the thoughts of the main character and how would you please pack the very palatable? With a voice-over? No, no. If one looks across on individual vulnerabilities (cute: Langdon's statements on the Mona Lisa are added along the way, because they fit somewhere right, but also must not be left out ...), this film is highly entertaining. And the two and a half hours.
The pace is rapid, but not hastily gathered and sent the story. The actors deliver all worked perfectly. In addition, this production in my opinion, with many charming details is peppered:
- The main characters are trozt impressive driving skills no super heroes. When is the first time a shot so both shrug together, that you realize that they have never experienced this so close
- The special effects are used in an ideal measure! True to the style of 'Beautiful Mind' discussed the code or the image are raised to the fore. Beautiful.
- I think I even have discovered a hidden allusion! * Proud grin * hiding in a scene, Langdon and Sophie in a park teeming with drug addicts and prostitutes - in my opinion, a modern dig at Hieronymus Bosch's "Garden of Earthly Delights' ...
- The dialogues are not as flat as it is stated in the reviews. There are lots of really funny and clever responses statements. Once Teabing says something like: Since there is only one God, one is willing to kill for him.
How true, Mr. George W. bin Laden, how true. What amazes me
absolutely has been the amendment of the conclusion ... Weiss also not yet know what to make of it. The last two minutes, I think more than in the book, the pictures are great and not as cheesy as the original. But the episode in Roselynn Chapel and also the relationship of Langdon and Sophie ... Hmmm ....
who has seen the movie, but I will object to please! :) I look forward to discussions with you.
